THE GERMAN OPPOSITION PARTIES CRITICISED THE KANZLER COAST GUARD BOATS DEAL WITH THE ANGOLA GOVERNMENT.

The Opposition parties in Berlin criticized Kanzler Angela Merkel deal with the Angola government on sale of eight coast guard military boats in the second destination of her African tour after the German Parliament, the Bundestag voted against the sale of two hundred tanks and their delivery to Saudi Arabia early last week. The Kanzler emphasized the requirement of every country's right to the protection of its territory, specifically on the sale of the boats to Angola for the protection of its coast on the Atlantic ocean and rejected the Opposition claim that she may be on a lobby business, or an arms race in the African continent. However, sources in both Germany and in Angola have not been able to produce any signed contracts between the Kanzler the Angolan government on the sale of the military boats, despite the German Opposition parties criticism of the deal.
