THE AIR BRIDGE PROJECT HAS BEGUN THE HUMANITARIAN MISSION TO THE AREAS MOSTLY AFFECTED BY THE OUTBREAK OF HUNGER IN SOUTHERN SOMALIA.

The air bridge project has begun the humanitarian mission to the areas mostly affected by the outbreak of hunger, starvation and diseases in Somalia early morning today. The UN and other humanitarian Organitions have continued to fly cargo airplanes filled with relief supplies to the devastated areas in Somalia, specifically the Southern Somalia. However, the relief supplies will remain stranded at the International airport in Nairobi and may not reach the intended destination as required, due to presence of the Rebel Movement called El Sabbab that have claimed the control of Southern Somalia. The UN request for clearance of the roads to the devastated areas for the transport of the relief aid may not be heeded by the Rebel group that have demanded the formation of an Islamic country in Southern Somalia. The UN has not suggested additional resolution that will enforce the use of military power to forcibly open the roads in order for the relief aid to reach the hunger striken population in Southern Somalia.
