THE SUDANESE GOVERNMENT MOVE TO DETERMINE THE COUNTRY'S DEMOCRATIC FUTURE ENDED IN DISAPPOINTMENT.

The Sudanese government move aimed to determine the country's readiness for democracy and future relinquish of power to civilian rule that would determine the country's future unity, rather than its split by the break away of the South of Sudan ended last sunday in disappointment of opposition, skirmishes in many parts of the country and major mutiny. The government's effort in the struggle to restore order in the capital, many parts of the country and in the South of Sudan has been repeatedly reported to have caused repeated bloodshed of many people both civilians and military that had been involved in the mutiny. Unfortunately, no date has been set for either another referendum, or elections that would determine the country's democratic future.
