THE AMOUNT ALLOCATED TO THE FLOOD AND MUDSLIDE VICTIMS IN PAKISTAN HAS EXCEEDED THE ESTIMATED REQUIRED SUM BY MANY FOLDS.

The USA government allocated the sum of nine hundred million US dollars in relief aid to eleviate the worsening condition of the flood and mudslide victims in Pakistan and possibly for the rebuilding of the washed away villages and towns.
The amount given to the flood victims has been over twice the estimated sum requested by the UN and other international organizations. However, when the relief aid for Pakistan has been once again compared to the relief aid of the Haitians Earthquake victims, the different types in relief aid for Pakistan has exceeded that to Haiti by many folds. This positive repond has been attributed to the media attention given to flood and mudslide victims, besides the effort of individual journalists in the coverages published in the media.
