EIGHTEEN AFRICAN COUNTRIES OBSERVED HALF A CENTURY INDEPENDENCE OF THEIR COUNTRIES.

The observance of half a century independence from former colonial governments by eighteen African countries over the weekend have not had the world media attention at both the domestic and the international levels, despite the recognition of these African countries as sovereign nations and the acknowledgement of their effort in the struggle for freedom, stability, security and prosperity as independent countries. Nevertheless, celebration of the half a century independence by festivities and public holidays as required have been well observed, besides domestic extensive media coverages that broadcasted the emphasis on the little so far attained in these countries within the specified time period by their leaders, or politicians and the exaggeration on the much that may yet be attained.
