THE UN HUMANITARIAN DELEGATION TO SYRIA CONDEMNED THE SYRIAN GOVERNMENT MILITARY ACTION AGAINST THE CIVILIAN POPULATION IN THE TOWN OF HOMS.

The United Nations (UN) Humanitarian mission to Syria that begun this week and headed by the former High Commissioner for the Refugees Mr. Kofi Annan condemned in a brief press conference yesterday the Syrian government military action against the civilian population in the town of Homs, despite the claims that the atrocities suffered by the Syrian innocent civilians that included women and children may have been the result of cross-fire from both the Syrian government and the Resistence militia forces in Homs and many other towns in the neighborhood of Homs. However, both Russia and China have again rejected the UN second Resolution that demanded immediate action of the Western countries against the regime of President Assad, due to the devastation the UN Humanitarian delegation have witnessed in the town of Homs. Both Russia and China have emphasized the fact that President Assad Constitutional Amendment has been underway and scheduled for the month of March in the year 2012.
