THE BUDESTAG VOTED OVERWHELMINGLY IN SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT'S ENERGY POLICY, DESPITE THE CRITICISM OF THE OPPOSITION.

The German Parliament, the Bundestag voted overwhelmingly in support of the government's energy policy headed by Kanzler Angela Merkel, despite the spreading nuclear fear and the opposition criticism that comprised of the Left party and the Green party against the extension of the time period for use of the nuclear Reactors and the atomic energy as the main source of energy for the next twelve years in Germany. However, exceptions have been placed on the functional nuclear Plants currently operating in Germany, specifically the emphasis on age limit and the government's recommendation for immediate closer of any nuclear Plant that has minor defect, or that are much older.
