GOVERNMENT'S ENERGY POLICY BECAME MAJOR POLITICAL ISSUE IN THIS YEAR'S ELECTION, PARTICULARLY ON THE GOVERNMENT'S DISPUTED CAPITALISTIC STRATEGY OVER POWER SOURCES AND POWER DISTRIBUTION BY EXTENDED PRIVATIZATION OF ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS COMPANIES.

The government's energy policy became major political issue in this year's election in many States of Germany, particularly on the change from the atomic energy to the environment friendly renewable energy sources that entailed, the Wind, the Solar, the Hydro and the Geo-thermal energy sources. Besides the rising demand for energy consumption in the industries, offices and many households that has been accompanied by drastic increase in electric energy prices in various Federal States in Germany which included Hamburg, Bayern Munchen, Schleswig Holstein, Niedersachsen, Badenwuttenberg, North Rhein Westfallen, Rheinphalz and many other States that have not been mentioned in the article. However, the government's disputed capitalistic strategy over power power sources and power distribution policies by extended privatization of electric power and gas companies to the citizens disadvantage in rising electric power and gas prices in the mentioned Federal States has not been of political advantage to the major Opposition Politcal Party the SPD during this election which may again result in the overwhelming absolute majority support for the ruling coalition government political parties that comprised of the CDU, the CSU and the FDP.
