THE WORLD SEEMED UNIFIED ON THE ENVIRONMENT ISSUES, WHEN MAJOR SUMMITS SUCH AS THE COPENHAGEN SUMMIT ARE BEING REGULARLY HELD.

The world seemed unified on environmental issues, when major summits such as the copenhagen summit have been regularly held and the world leaders, politicians, scientists with other prominent figures would conven and express their concern over immediate and long term solutions to the problems facing the environment, due to pollution, climate change, or global warming. The vanishing of glaciers, desertification and the consequences such as the increase in the ozone layer as aresult of carbondioxide and other green gases emission. The disappearance of natural habitats of many species and the reduction in number of some of the species to the extend that some have been listed as the endangered species. The general increase in the sea level, due to the melting of ice that brakes away from glaciers in the Arctic circle and the starvation of many people in the developing countries, due to less rainfall, excessive logging, desertification, or as aresult of the general increase in the world temperature by one degree termed as climate change, or global warming.
However, many scientists that are currently working on researches and projects for solutions to the environment problems have continued to complain about strict legislations and regulations that restricts many researches and projects currently being performed, or that would be performed by some scientists, besides the financial support often required for the accomplishment of such important researches and major projects that are critical to the solution of the general, immediate and long term problems on the environment in this planet.
