TIED MATCH BETWEEN POLAND AND GREECE MARKED THE SPECTACULAR OPENING OF THE EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION IN WARSAW.

The tied match between the Polish national football team and the Greek national football team that ended in the draw of a single goal each scored by Sandowski and Salpingidis for the national soccer teams of Poland and Greece respectively marked the spectacular opening of the European football championship competition that begun yesterday in the capital of Poland Warsaw. Although over a hundred and fifty million football spectators have been expected to attend the European football championship competition scheduled for kick-off in both Warsaw and Kiev, only over ten thousand football fans have been counted in the Warsaw football Stadium at the begin of the opening match of the European football championship competition of which thousands of Greeks have attended, despite the current economic condition in Greece. However, brief televised interview of some of Greece national football team fans revealed their happiness and perhaps joy of the many fans that have traveled to Poland and Ukraine to support their national team and for the needed relaxation from chaos of political crisis and financial difficulties, due to the European Union Austerity Measures.
