INSPITE OF THE GULF COAST OIL SPILL CRISIS THAT LASTED THREE MONTHS FUEL PRICES HAVE REMAINED FAIRLY STABLE IN THE USA MARKETS.

Inspite of the oil spill crisis in the Gulf coast region that lasted for about three months, petroleum and gas prices at the pumps have remained fairly stable in the USA markets, when compared to the previous crisis of similar magnitudes that had occurred in the Gulf coast region as the hurricane Katrina crisis that had destroyed the off-shore refinaries on the Gulf coast region and resulted in fuel shortages and high gas prices in all the States of USA, besides the decrease in number of motorists on wheels on the Interstates and American roads, due to the rush for alternative means of transportation that entails the ride on public transportation, the ride on motorcycles, or bicycles and the walk on foot by many pedestrians on the USA roads during the previous Gulf coast region crisis.
