AFRICAN NATION CONVENED FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING OF OAU IN ADDIS ABABA
African nations convened in the Ethiopian capital city Addis Ababa for the annual meeting of the (OAU ) the Organization of the African Unity. Issues discussed during the early morning meeting today entailed current political, economic, financial, social and environmental problems, particularly the starvation, or hunger outbreak in the horn of Africa, specifically in Southern Somalia, due to the outbreak of the Rebels Movement war for the Liberation and Islamazation of Southern Somalia by the El- Shabab Rebel Movement.
The estimated required amount for the resolution of the hunger problems in Africa and particularly in the horn of Africa according to the conclusion made during the meeting may exceed the amount of a billion to two billion USA dollars. How and when the required amount would be made available has not been made known.
