CYBER ATTACK ON THE USA DEFENSE DEPARTMENT.

The USA Defense department, the Pentagon sufffered cyber attack yesterday, despite the elevated security and surveillance level in the department. This has revealed the USA Defense department vulnerability on the current cyber warfare and the cyber defense center capability. Over twenty four signficant files with confidential data on the USA airforce classified files have been targeted. Further investigation on the source of the cyber attack has not been identified. However, this cyber attack on the Defense department that seemed could not be traced may have originated from foreign end, instead of a domestic attack. The estimated damage on the stolen data could reach several hundreds of millions of dollars, if the data is sold in the Foreign markets. The Defense department has suspected few countries as sources of the cyber attack. China and Russia have been marked as the main possibilities. Neither the NASA, nor the European cyber defense centers have been of assistance by any means, despite the fact that repeated cyber attacks on NASA classified files have not been successful.
