NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS AND THE RADIOACTIVE WASTE.

Despite the general acceptance of Nuclear Power Plants as efficient electric power sources that meets the rising demands for electric energy of inner cities and urban towns in some countries in the world today compared to other alternative environment friendly energy sources such as the wind and the solar energy, the Atomic Energy Power sources have been the Environment activists concern, due to the nuclear waste production by the Nuclear Power Plants that will remain radioactive for many years.Environmentalists and citizens in Germany,s Niedersachsen region protested against both the extention of the time limit for the Nuclear Power Plants as electric power sources and the designated sites for its radioactive waste.
However, no suggestion has been made regarding the transport of the radioactive substances to countries that can transform the radioactive waste to harmless substances.
