Many citizens blocked the railway tracks with big and heavy duty vehicles such as tractors, load trucks and huge stones as the freight train pulled in towards Gorleben with the nuclear waste materials. Other States have demonstrated to reveal their solidarity with the citizens of Gorleben and to express their rejection of the current administration energy policy that has extended the use for nuclear Reactors to generate electricity for the next twelve years. This has given the Green Party an overwhelming support for the first time to be a non collusion ruling party in Germany.

TIGHTENED SECURITY AT VARIOUS PORTS.

The letter bombs triggered unprecedented tightened security, the shuffle of security personnel and the transfer of security responsibilities at the airports, the seaports and at the boarder crossing points in many European cities, particularly in Germany and some parts of the USA. The police forces have taken up responsibilities that entailed body and luggage search at the entry and exit points in many European airports, specially in Germany.
However, the decreasing number of the required annual police recruits in Germany and some European countries compared to the magnitude of the security duty at hand, specially at the airports, the seaports and at the border crossing may require additional training for non police forces to enable the required thorough searches in the duty of the tightened security.

WORRIES ABOUT MUCH OF THE HURICANE SEASON MAY BE OVER WITH HURRICANE TOMAS RAGING OVER THE ATLANTIC OCEAN AND THE WEST INDIES.

Worries about much of the hurricane season may be over with hurricane Tomas raging over the Atlantic ocean as it passed through Haiti inflicting damages in both properties and minimal human lives, while at thesame time washed parts of the island off much of its dirt accumulated as a result of the worse natural catastrophe that had hit the country in late December of last year and early January of this year in the unexpected repeated Earthquake tremor. The West Indies experienced much of the hurricane effect in windy and rainy weather conditions, while changes in the conviction currents and the North Westerly currents pushed farther northwards in the Arctic region caused much severe colder weather with temperatures at 27 to 30 degrees fahrenheit in the Southern States of the USA in the last three days.
