MEDIA SOURCES SPECULATED ON THE CAUSE OF THE EARTHQUAKE THAT HIT TURKEY AS ATTRIBUTES OF THE VOLCANIC ERUPTION ON MOUNT ATNA.
The number of death toll in the areas that have been declared disaster zones in Turkey, due to the Earthquake has exceeded four hundred and sixty one. Over one thousand and three hundred others have been pulled out from under the rubbles, while over thousands others have been hospitalized as a result of minor to major injuries. Three major cities in Turkey which included Ankara have been declared disaster areas by both the government and the Humanitarian Organizations that have begun to fly in the required basic needs that entailed tents, bottled water, food, soft drinks and medicines for the citizens that have been made homeless as a result of the Earthquake which its magnitude has been estimated at about 8.2 on the R-scale. Certain media sources have speculated on the cause of the Earthquake that hit Turkey as attributes of the volcanic eruption on mount Atna in Italy that reactivated the eye of the Earthquake line that passes through the city of Ankara and the other two cities.
