Higher stakes on offshore oil drilling and the high demand on energy in the USA domestic markets, besides other oil companies determination to fulfill the current government's policy on offshore drilling and the country's energy policy have been unlikely to wait on the court's decision for the resumption of Bp offshore oil drilling as one of the country's major offshore oil drilling company. As a result the stock soared on the qualified offshore oil drilling companies that have taken to the challenge, inspite of being less greener and less environment friendly.
